Do you own a B.C.Rich Guitar? What do you like about it

Re: Do you own a B.C.Rich Guitar? What do you like about it

Well I had been looking at the Eagle1 Arch top Onyx. I took the plunge yesterday. And just picked it up today. The guy's did a nice set up for me I like low action. For the price it is a descent guitar. There is nothing I will change on it. I was impressed with the pickups. The sounds are very good. Like the way it feels, balance is good and a nice finish. Has a satin slim neck which I prefer. A fun guitar to play. Here is a pic of her. One thing leads into another now I have to buy another hard case, just wont make it into my Strat case. Hey not a problem just happy to have it. It's a keeper!DSCI0491 (1).jpg:yeah: Picture is not the best I know.

Anyway, for average skill /experience level players like you guys, it probably wouldn't be an issue, but for a pro level expert player like me, it sucks.

One of the many things I've always appreciated about you is your innate ability to identify with us little people without taking away from your own greatness. I consider it an honor just to know you!

I did own a BC Rich , it was the ubiquitous 1000.00 Korean guitar.
I liked everything about it except the terrible volume knob placement that interferes with the strumming or, how do you say, 'downsweep' of the picking hand..
Unplayable for me. Thats also why I change all my Jackson Mutts volume knobs to a different place also, but they are just parts assemblies anyway.
A stock Strat even is similar, it's annoying, but not that bad as a BC Rich or Jackson.'Anyway, for average skill /experience level players like you guys, it probably wouldn't be an issue, but for a pro level expert player like me, it sucks.

Anyway, I wouldn't ever want to carve up an expensive BC Rich, so pass.

pfft.. sometimes you gotta think outside the box.. volume knobs give me some issues too.. thats the reason all of my guitars have a push/pull for the volume..pull for volume control and push for 100% volume.. i call it a reverse volume bypass.. arrangement works well for me

your welcome:)

Someone sent me this picture of me playing my first B.C. Rich around 40 years ago
OMG! You had hair! :D

Since we're doing a thread revival, I still have both of mine. Both imports.

One is a Pearlescent Warlock NJ (Nagoka Japan) series, and the other is a cheaper Warlock Bronze series. Internet pic on the bronze, but mine is identical. Both still have original pickups, which are surprisingly, not bad.
