I just use carpet. Lay em down yourself and you'll never risk breaking a neck from falling off your tone-tuned stand.

Holy crap this reminds me of the tone guitar strap thread.

That gives me an idea! Carpet straps! All the durability of synthetic straps with the tone of natural animal fur!
