Re: Dream Guitars...what's yours?
Currently, my goal is to own a
Fender Classic Series 60's Stratocaster, partially because I'm genuinely in love with Stratocasters, and partially because it's more likely I could afford a guitar like this sometime in the next year or so.

My favorite guitars are all old, obsolete (frequently Japanese) hollow- or semi-hollow bodies, so this one is kind of an odd choice of mine, but I've played it and decided it
will be mine. I would immediately make some modifications, to the wiring as well as the appearance. Firstly, I think the mint green pickguard, true-to-spec or not, looks like a sloth's ass. That would go in favor of a bright, clean white one, hopefully a .06" one instead of the .09" standards (more vintage). I already own a Squier Strat whose wiring I've modified, and I'll apply the same or very similar changes to the real deal when I get it.
This is
not, however, my dream guitar. Right now, my dream guitar lies somewhere in the Gibson Memphis line, starting with the ES-335 Satin, of course.

This one is about the least expensive guitar in its line, and the most desirable guitar with humbuckers I've ever played (I generally prefer single coils, thus the choice of Strat). I was turned onto it when I saw Eric Clapton playing one on a video with Dr. John and a few others doing a completely different Rock version of Layla. The song itself was a little disappointing, but the guitar sounded beautiful. I played one the next day and said "I have to have this." Only problem is that $2,700 is about $2,000 out of my price range.
Getting even dreamier and even more expensive, I'd like to have one of the Memphis models with P90s, such as the 330 or the 295. I'm hugely ogling this Limited run 2015 ES-295 VOS (and of course, anything that's
actually from '52 is welcome as well).

It's just really pretty, not to mention fully hollow and only weighs about 3.5 lbs. It's not really a rocker's guitar as it only has 19 frets, but it's really nice for what I like to play. One change is that I'd like mine to have a tune-o-matic bridge and a Bigsby or Maestro vibrola. That funky tailpiece, while cool, looks like it would have absolutely AWFUL intonation.
That's all for me!
