DSL problems

Okay, the other day I decided to unplug my DSL and use the cable on my UX2. Fine, the UX2 was being a punk and not putting any output audio to REAPER and that upset me because it's never done that before. So whatever, plug back into my DSL100 but! I forgot that the wiring is already s*** and the cab only works when plugged into the right jack... Not sure if it was the 8O or the 16O but anyways. I got output from it finally, but when I did.. The Clean channel was buzzing.
ODs 1 and 2 work fine, but neither Clean nor Crunch play right.
Also, when I looked at the tubes, the first tube (closest to the left) was blue-ish. I quickly turned it off and let it sit.
Oh, and I ran a fuzz, and a distortion through the dirty channel to see what sound I'd get.

Did I do a major no-no and jack up the amp?
Help please, just got a new strat and I'd love to play through my clean channel worry-free.

Re: DSL problems

Honestly, from the title I thought you were having trouble with your cable modem.

I think we need more information in order to help you. It sounds like you were running the amp while it was not connected to a speaker load? How long did you do this before you got it reconnected properly? What do you mean when you say that neither Clean nor Crunch "play right?" - what isn't "right" about them?

If you suspect a blown tube, you could try replacing it to see if the problem goes away. If you don't have spare tubes, you could try swapping with another (identical) tube from the same amp to see if the symptoms move with it.

If in doubt, seek professional help.
