I was wondering if anyone could confirm if a duckbucker is two 6k coils in parallell. I have a Lil '59 kickin around that could be re-purposed. Thx

I've never heard that it was, but that isn't a reason not to try if you already have the pickup.

I thought the duckbucker was the same as the cool rails, but with screws rather than rails.

I have to admit, I never could keep track of what was rumored to be what other pickup. I know about the Custom and the Jazz/Alnico II Pro, and that's it.

Actually is more like a Vintage Rails than a Cool Rails, spec-wise.

Ive heard similar things about the duckbucker, it being wired in parallel and all. People have said that a bridge lil 59 in parallel compares to it. Can’t hurt to wire it up and find out. You could even remove the screws to match the look or replace them with non ferrous ones that fit the thread maybe.

The Duckbucker is based on the Vintage Rails. That fact used to be included in the product description, so it's not just a rumor.
