Hey there SD pickup everything posters,

Have any of you had experience with these pickups SD makes exclusively for parker guitars? All I can really find out about them is from the one page semi generic write up on the Parker website. http://www.parkerguitars.com/About/duncan-usm-pickups.html

I am putting together a mock parker fly from a kit and was considering to put the dimebucker in the neck and a HB 103 in the neck but I'm not certain. Any thoughts would be helpful
(basswood body / maple neck w/ Rosewood fingerboard for metal, funk & floyd)

wow thanks for the links - somehow missed this on the SD website.

in your description above you noted two positions for each pup - do you know if there's a specific pup for bridge and neck or if you purchase one and put it in either space, it'll produce a similar tone to the approx equal pup you mentioned?

Why not get used American-made PU's instead? They'll cost almost the same as new imports, and be higher quality. I get most of my PU's used on eBay.

you mean that SD's are not made in the US?

I already purchased the pup's but could already sell them off and purchase alternates but that would be based on sound more that location of production.

They'll have N and B in the model number on the bottom saying what they'll be. The bridge models will be fairly hot and trembucker spaced, so you wouldn't want those in the neck. :D

Because technically the HB-103N is it's own animal. It's not quite a 59, it's just the closest spec-wise USA Duncan to match it with. It's still got a ceramic magnet.

Here's a video that Surface posted with the HB-103N running as a bridge pickup:

Seymour Duncan pickups ARE made in the USA.

Duncan Designed, Duncan Performer, and Duncan USM are made in Korea. It says right on your original link "Designed in USA".

thanks so much guys ... I guess I should pay more attention to what they don't say as well as what they say, regarding the manufacturing. I'll double check the pup and see if it's a neck or bridge.

Cool sounding video for sure.

trembucker spacing for bridge pickups alters the sound or freaks it out when in the neck position? (perhaps, I'll search around here and try to find out)

I bought a HB 102 Bridge - So I guess I'm stuck with two bridges one of these and a dimebucker

You should be able to get about $35 for the HB102b on Fleabay. It is essentially a Korean-made clone of the JB Trembucker.
