Early Duncan EVH pickup

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

Yeah, your right a 59 Les Paul PUP is not historical, neither is any SD pup because they are mere copied rewinds of something that was already great to begin with, right?

Futhermore, SD nor EVH have any merit in guitar history, correct?

Daring to be different back then was not important and neither is it today..

Let's all just use the same language and lettering and be conformed to dictation!

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

EVH, thank you for dropping the yellow and making everyone elses life a little easier. If you want to be another, more easily read color and it makes you somehow happy then by all means go for it!

Of course SD and EVH both have historical significants and innovation is always a good thing. Throwing statements like those out there really doesn't move the conversation forward, they just generate contention.

Many of the members on this site have been here for years and they really are a sharp bunch of guys with a lot to offer. Not only that but Evan Skopp and occasionally even Seymour himself post on this site and have given us direct information about the history of different pickups. To state that the JB is somehow related to the EVH other than the fact that they are both humbuckers is factually incorrect and by repeating such nonsense you only irritate the membership.

You also have to understand that you are not the first person but instead just the latest in a long line of members that have been more than a little interested in EVH and his gear. It is sort of a dead horse around here but we are here to share information so we will do our best to help you in any way we can. Please just realize that forcing the issue probably wont make you many friends around here and if your quest for tone, if that is what it is becomes disruptive then we will have a separate issue from yellow text to deal with.

Play nice with each other guys and please opt to use the ignore feature if certain topics annoy you. no one is required to read and/or answer any posts around here.

Peace!

Robert

A PM would be sufficient and you in this manner of addressing me are just adding fuel to a fire which someone else has started..

If people do not like my post or talk about EVH and SD history they could simply, move on and ingnore it and not reply with childish posts. not that difficult to do..or is it?

Yes, there are some informative peope here..but Seymour nor Evan hardly ever post or answer questions..and Evan was not with the company in 78..that is the topic of the thread but maybe he can find answers to the questions or someone here has an actual PUP or Ad... to prove things.

So, what do you have against yellow? I read if fine and I am sure others can too..or any other color...why must we all use the same text here? I see many forum members do not give a crap about the history of SD or EVH...and rather just post mean spirited posts.

I would politely ask you to please do not commicate with me further with addressing me with dictating orders in PMs or publicly.

If it is hard for you to read..then do not read it!

Have some respect for a person who buys from Seymour Duncan and helps keep him in business and respects his history!

You as a moderater should know better.

PEACE!

Let me break this down for you. The forum does not respect you. Leave or be subject to further ridicule.

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

And let me break it to you, you have no respect for SD nor his forum..!
I feel so ashamed for myself, right now, really, you wouldn't believe me how much pain I'm going through right now.

NOT!NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT! NOT!

Hope you like the little Franken-theme I did with the colors.

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

please stop with the colored text, I swear I think I'm seizing. And if your in search of the EVH type pickup just go for the 59b or the gfs veh I have both of them and they sounds great. A PAF sytle PU with a high gain amp is all you really need.

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

Fortunately, that is not the case...
Rob, can't you check his info, see if he has anything in common with our regular Trolls? I think I detect a hint of our friend Walters.

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

Gloss after 131 posts?

132 posts...

133 posts...

Re: Early Duncan EVH pickup

Just a time out for our new friend. It seems he doesn't understand the rules yet.
