Since I own an Edana and have finally sat down to play a vintage modern marshall today for the first time ever, I thought I should post my personal observations about the amp.
- The Edana can do anything the VM can do with the addition of a couple of OD pedals. The VM's sound tries to get into biting vicious territory, but it just doesn't quite make it there. The bottom end is too loose for modern sounds. It doesn't do the Angus thing like the Edana does. It's interesting and it does the vintagy thing alright, but the Edana is a far better tone-machine!
- The Edana is warmer and clearer with better cleans.
- The Edana is cheaper.
- The Edana is prettier.
- The Edana is better built with higher quality parts.
