Either my ears disagree with everyone here, or everyone here didn't try it with their amp dimed. It makes for a glorious clear, but saturated tone when you have your power tubes pushed. What I think about it is posted above. It's more of a bass cut than a treble boost. It's up to you to figure out how to use that effectively and how not to. "Not usefeul" for a lot of things, sure. But it is far from downright awful, terrible, horrible, useless, etc.
