metale New member Nov 5, 2016 #2 Re: EMG 57 in neck I'm considering trying one in the neck with an 85 on the bridge. The 57 seemingly improves on the 81, and the 81 was used on the neck by some players, so why not?... I'll report back if I do try it.

metale New member Nov 5, 2016 #3 Re: EMG 57 in neck Installed a 57 on the neck with a 85 on the neck. They balance almost too much! They sound very similar, despite being diferent pickups on diferent positions.
