Emg Onboard effects,

for my new strat project? i was thinking that the afterburner looked cool, 20db boost, that would totally push my amp into overdrive.
Talk to me about the effets, how are they, noise problems? Tone Problems? or just little PCB slices of heaven?

Yea I'm interested in hearing the full story on these as well. I have one sitting on my desk that I got for free and I'm pondering installing it in my rickenbacker since the neck tone knob is worthless.

In and of themselves they are good, just remember that if you boost 20dbs, noise is boosted 20dbs too. You can minimize noise by good wiring and sheilding practices, but remember they were disigned for EMGs that are nearly noiseless by design. Also, you need a battery with them, and for some reason a lot of people don't wnat to use actives soely because of that.

They look pretty cool, though, especially if you use a Marshall and a boost currently.
