Eminence Hempdog speaker

Ok so i have an obsession with the EVM12L

I want one but not the $300 kinda want

I saw where Eminence has an EM12
Their version of the EVM

Then, recently, I saw the Hempdog
the EM12 with a hemp cone
Kinda EM12 an the CRex had a baby

Now my buddy has a CRex in his Peavey C30
Awesome speaker

I think I want to swap the 7080 in my Monoprice Stage Right
And for me the Hempdog sounds like what I want

What do you guys think?

I think the Delta Pro is a bass speaker
Rated at 400 watts

Big clean sound for guitar

Same here, one of the first good amps I played was a 4x10 60's Fender Bassman. I have a 4x12 Celestion Pulse loaded cab in the basement with an SS Fender Bassman head that sounds great with guitar and talks to gain fantastically. I would use it in the studio if it weren't so freaking big.

The Hempdog and the Delta-Pro-12A are about the same price

I would live the neodymium EM12N
​​​EM12that are 6 lbs each
but they are more than the amp was

I think you definitely want to swap out the 70/Eighty because it sucks.

There is a noticeable difference between it and the Carvin loaded extension cab i have

Ok the 7080 i got is about 6.5 lbs
and has some issues

Sweetwater says they don't accept returns on speakers so I can't be rolling them like pickups

The Hempdog and Delta-Pro-12A are 16 and 17 lbs respectively
This would add an immediate 10 lbs to my little amp

I am not sure i want that

.I have a Jensen C12K 100 watt
and the EHX 12VR8 75 watt

The EHX is their version of a vintage 30
The ad copy says "vintage Celestian "

I think im gonna load those into my 2x12 and audition them this weekend then decide

So i want to break in a new speaker

I have an app on my phone that generates a tone

And a Bantamp that will bluetooth to the phone

I can send this into the new speaker to break it it

So what frequency and for how long?

Can we do this in one - two hours?

i usually run sound through speakers for 8-10 hours to break em in

Radio?
Low wattage?
super loud?

I get the part about breaking them in with sound

But be a bit more descriptive

used to be cds, now its streaming or cds. low volume for the first two hours, then i up it. the last few hours it might be loudish. the idea is to softly break in the speaker but get it softened up a bit before i gig it

My speaker order never shipped
durned Sweetwater

a-b with the Carvin VL12 8ohm and the EHX 12VR8 that I had on hand

the EHX just sounded way less than the stock speaker in the Stage Right amp

So I decided to swap in The Carvin VL12 8ohm

When I took out the stock speaker
It ain't a seventy 80
It's a Hot 100 (GT12-100)
and it's 16 ohms

The external speaker out says 8-16
so I think the 8ohm speaker will be ok replacement for the 16 ohm stock

I could be wrong

Opinions please?

It's 8-16 ohms

I wonder if the HempDog replaced the WheelHouse? Both are 8-Ohm, 150 watt, with 80 - 3.8 kHz freq response, with a hemp cone. But while the HD is a huge 80 oz ferrite mag, the WH is a small 11 oz Neo mag.

I've had my Wheelhouse for quite some time, but haven't installed it yet to comment on how it sounds.
