I have a THeat in a Lopo 1x12 closed. Also a Swamp Thang in a solid pine 1x12 which is largish semi-closed, 2x12 V30 Close Avatar, CRex which has been in a number of closed and open cabs, Crate 2x12 closed and an open 1x12 of solid pine. I have tried a Carvin clone of a Celestion 65 I think. I have played Gbacks and some other things along the way.

The Texas heat is a bit of a Celestion american cross. I do not like it as much as a Swamp Thang or the CRex. These latter 2 are much nicer voiced speakers to me. The ST has amazing bass if you want it. The Red Fang is also nice.

I have a TH in my 2 x 12 closed back cab. paired with a private jack. The TH give me the round bottom & Sparkley highs with just a hint of bite in the mids, While the PJ gives out a warm growling midrange. ( A perfect combo IMO) My Princeton Reverb Clone has a old Emi Alnico 12" that I love, But if something happen to it? I would replace it with a TH. Same goes for my HRD. Next $69
