epiphone double cut lespaul

Re: epiphone double cut lespaul

I don't think they do. The ones with a flame top are beautiful, I'd rock one for sure.

*edit*
The only Epi cutaways I can find are Juniors . They use to make them back in the mid '90s.

Thanks a lot though.... now I have GAS for a LP Junior (TV yellow).

Never seen one. Don't like them anyway. Gimme a Hamer Sunburst any day.

Re: epiphone double cut lespaul

Yeah, Epiphone used to make a double-cut LP with P90s. I think it was a special edition but I am not sure.

They pop up on ebay every once in a while and blueman335 just bought one.

Re: epiphone double cut lespaul

the gibson ones are pretty cheap anyway! pick one up for about $500 used, i got mine for $650 brand new due to a few scratches which didn't bother me

Re: epiphone double cut lespaul

Epi used to make a red one, P-90's and thick mahogany. The Hamer SATF's are nice too, with flame tops; most are HB but one model's gold with P-90's.

man if i was in the market for a new guitar, a blue flamed gibson double cut LP with nickel hardware would be one of the first guitars i'd be looking to buy:)

Re: epiphone double cut lespaul

old epiphone genesis is basically a double cut away paul....heavy as a mother ....great sustain with right set up ...had one ...I miss that guitar

< There ya go. There called Hamer specials. Sold the burst, but will
< never part with the Cherry (Seymour Stack P-90's) or the TV Yellow
< (Seymour P-90 Hots). They friggin' rock and the craftsmanship is second to
< none. Do yourself a favour and check some of these puppies out on Ebay.

Peace,

Darrin

Yeah they used to make one called the Spirit

Heck yeah!

My brother in law scored one of these for like $50 at Goodwill a couple of years ago- he had to sell it- I didn't have the money- but it netted him some really nice cash.

Really, really nice guitar- any way you look at it. Top notch parts, made in Kalamazoo.

Nice. Looks a lot like the Hamers to my un-tutored eye....

Where do you think Hamer copied the design from? It wasn't an original of theirs. PRS also was fond of that Gibson design and tweaked it a little too. Basically, take an SG, and add an arched top, or just thicken the body, and round off the points on the horns. Voila! Double cutaway LP.

Re: epiphone double cut lespaul

That one in particular though, looks a lot like a Hamer.

Hey, I did say I had an "un-tutored" eye! :)

BTW I watched a documentary about Peter Green the other night, great playing. He played a Strat most of the time though!
