has/does anyone tried or own/ed this guitar. how does it sound. what can styles of music is it good for. what's the playability? how thick is the neck?

i'm hoping for heavy blues/hard rock to a nice clean sound.

i plan on maybe putting a custom custom with a pearly gates in the neck with a phat cat in the middle. how would this sound?
maybe switch aroung the phat cat and the pearly gates

edit: i can't seem to find what kind of fingergoard this thing has, just juding by the picture i think it's ebony

Re: epiphone g-400 custom

rosewood board.

The guit its modeled on had ebony, but no epis do.

I think the CC is a bad choice for any Gibson style construction instrument in the bridge. Others will disagree.

Your other pup choices are fine, IMO

Like any Epi, ya gotta play it first. Could be a dog, could be an exceptional value. Neck is typical thin (for a Gibson) SG type profile.

any other suggestions on the bridge p'up?

also is it true that maestro tailpieces and bridges are not of the best quality. because on music123 they have an "exclusive" on of these with a maestro tailpiece, it looks cool. and a whammy bar is always a nice touch
