EVH project bridge questions

Hi !! I haven't been on in awhile and couldnt find this in search. Pardon me.
I'm pretty good with Gibson stuff but my new EVH project has me a little baffled as to the bridge ( See photo ) The body was advertised as a 5150 project, but is that really different from a Frankenstrat etc. Does this routing need a two point Fender bridge, six point, original Floyd Rose or what. I think I want "floating" if possible, and it would be cool to have the tremolo arm swing freely, if that makes any sense. Any constructive input would be welcome. Thanks !!

That looks like a body that could be for the 5150 Kramer, not the Frankenstrat, although the pickup cavity is the wrong shape and it looks like it's drilled for a standard neck plate rather than the narrower Kramer neck plate.

If you're building an EVH type guitar and you're building it as he would have had it then you're not going to have a floating Floyd, and that body is not routed to float.

You can float a non-recessed Floyd just fine . . . I do on my Charvel.

Well, yeah, if you shim the neck a tad to raise the strings off the body.

Can't use a dTuna (dunno if you intended to, OP) on a floater, though. The change in low string tension will change the tension on the rest of the strings.
