I keep building blacked out guitars on Kiesel's builder, and am always bummed that black frets aren't an option.

I'm not sure what exactly they used, but I can say the frets on Czech Deans from 98-02(?) will turn black when they corrode. I've also noticed whatever that oxide is, it's hard af.

This is my only guitar with the gold tinted frets. I think it looks good with all of the gold hardware. I prefer stainless steel frets on my guitar builds.

I was just implying that if I wanted black frets I certainly wouldn't want to have to have corroded frets to get the black color.

Damn, I wanted EVO gold for my custom build. Hopefully supply hasn't waned

It's too easy to go down an internet rabbit hole about SS vs EVO but the idea of gold frets and gold hardware is drool-worthy
