Here it is on Amazon, where everything is for sale all the time:

This mic has caught fire from its $25.99 selling price, and from Securb's thread here:

I quickly decided to buy one for myself, as you can never have too many microphones.

Also works with an old Samson shock mount I had sitting around, though the threads bite in for only about a turn.

I've since bought a second one. Should be using them... any... minute... now...

Viddy interesting, but ... are they even close enough to match as a pair, tolerance-wise? They also look to be made using very cheap manufacturing. Of course, as a character mic it may be great and the proof is in the pudding as they say. When are you going to post some demo clips?

Personally, I will stick with my Rode/AKG/Sennheiser/Neat/Cascade/Shure/Oktava/etc.

Well, it is the cheapest mic I've ever seen that didn't have a hardwired cable terminating in a 1/4" plug. I figure anything it lacks in sonics or build quality I can make up by having multiples of them. By the time I have eight of them, they should roughly equal the quality of my AKG P420, or a pair of SM57's.

Huh?

I tried mine out last night. Recorded a rythm and a lead track using my Zoom H4. Sounds good. I had it about 5 feet from my Randall through my open back 2x12. Picked up everything nice and clear. A little bassy, but I might try using one of the onboard compressor settings and hear what difference it makes.

I wish the rest of the world had the ability to manufacture goods as cheap as China does. It's hard to believe you can even buy a decent condenser Mic for the price of a clip on tuner

Re: Excelvan BM-800 condenser mic $25.99 Amazon deal

It was just a joke about the novelty of having two mics of the same model being somewhat diminished by it not being a very good mic.
As to it not being very good, have you tried yours yet. I'm not going to say that it's very good. But I wouldn't be afraid to say that it's good. Especially considering the price.

I'm not going to use mine. If I keep them in mint condition, I should be able to sell them for several thousand dollars on the vintage market one day.

I'm just hoping to experiment with them and have a different ear in the mix with the AKG and the Shure.

Then you'd better get started. People are expecting clips.

Really? You'd like a 5000 dollar German master craftsman Neumann hand built mic designed in Germany and manufactured in Germany to the stritcest tolerances with the finest machinests in the world and the finest materials and design know how in the world to be farmed out to some cheap hapahazard assembly line ? Or are you hoping pigs can fly- "gee, i wish the Chinese could build a master crafted German mic for cheap" :dunno:

The only thing I'd record with that is a turd.
Well, I could go ahead and record some of my vegetable and yogurt induced flatulence for you. Aside from the aroma, you could then experience it just like you were in the room.

something tells me that would sound better on OP's 25 dollar mic than on a RCA vintage studio mic.Of course a Neve Consol and some Western Electric tube preamps would add dimesionality to those gaseous artistic expressions.

Well, you'd certainly get all the low end rumble along with the shimmer at top. At least that's what I figure given how the recordings of my guitar through my amp sounded.
