Fake binding?

Anybody has a guitar with fake (painted) binding? I wanna try this on my guitar (superstrat style) and I'd like to read some opinions, thoughts, advice, etcetera. Pics are welcome too!

Its tricky to do....mainly as you have to apply tape (which is naturally adverse to what you want to do with it) to a 3D shape.

why not due a natural binding that some prs and gobsons due? essentially they leave a small percentage of wood unfinished creating a natural fauz binding

I had a couple guitars with painted "binding". Auto pinstripe paint (do they make "1shot" anymore?) and a good brush, and you should be good.

And I just spent way too long trying to get Photobucket to cooperate so I could show what it looked like... grr

The guitar was all scratched up, but the fake binding held up great. I had a Harmony with painted binding, and you could scratch it off with your fingernail.
