Faked Seymour ducan pickups ?

Hello Forum, I was curious if people go out of their way to fake Duncan Pickups.
would seem too costly to try to fake an engraved plate or a printed PCB board
like on a hot rails pickup. But then again i have seen faked Grover tuners and there
not very expensive .

I think for individuals to try it on a small scale wouldn't be worth the time, trouble and expense.
But for some factory in China that anticipates selling thousands of 'em, absolutely yes.

I've seen minihums with a brass baseplate with the Seymour Duncan logo in Aliexpress.

yea, i was on that website and seen a fake Ibanez Jem with dimarzio's the guitar was $190
shipped. that's what inspired the question because i was thinking if they were real the pickups
were worth more than the guitar. knew they had to be fake

I just bought a pair of Seths from amazon warehouse deals (mdse return?) for a great price am now hoping they are the real thing. I should have them in a few days

I'm sure they are, eBay have to carefully check those back plates like said earlier they probably just fake the front logo

SWEET!!! Duncan's with brass baseplates, DiMarizo's with nickel (probably coated) ones, & you can get a complete set for less than one use MIM single coil!!! They must sound great with those logos on them, LOL???

Occasionally people post some on this forum and ask about them. Thing is, this sort of thing is very hard to regulate from the US to the Far East, where copies of everything are all over the place.

lot of the people who buy these say it's legal to do so as long as you BUY not SELL.
well if it's legal why do customs confiscate some of these guitars? Seen a YouTuber
read his Official letter on there.

Only reason i hate these fake guitars is because people sell them as the real thing
without knowing they exist you will get took.

It is legal to buy a signature and put it on a product even if the artist did not endorse the product.I

However, is there an ethical difference between putting a logo or signature on a product like the Chinese are doing and putting the signature of an artist on a product that he/she never endorsed?

I wouldn't support such unethical companies, as it only raises prices on all genuine items- companies have to try and fight this, and that comes out of what they make.

I just bought a Molex watch off a guy on the street corner for $25, he said it was Swiss made...
