Ya know, the talk of high end guitars always blows my mind...

There are differnet opinions all around but the ones that kill me are the guys that have 10-15 $250 guitars and whine and complain that the Les Paul, PRS, Anderson, etc that they really want is too much money...

Thats the dumbest thing in the world...

It's like this...a $250 guitar with new pickups, pots and fancy hardware is STILL A $250 GUITAR, it's just dressed up a little...maybe it sounds better than it did when it was stock but it still doesn't (and never will) sound (or playe) like a high end guitar made with primo woods and such.

So it's easy...SELL OFF ALL YOU LOW BUCK GUITARS AND UPGRADE!!!!!!

It's this simple...if you have a lkow dollar axe and thats what you can afford thats fine...I've been there, we've all been there and I do not believe that you have to have a $10,000.00 rig to make music...I used to gig all the time with a rig that wasn't worth more than about $500...that was guitar, amp and pedalboard...TOTAL! Howver if you have a "dream guitar" that costs $2500 and you havea house full of $200 then you have an easy fix!

Definitely a 70s Gibson Maple Board Les Paul for me...

or one of the '55/'78 Reissues....

or one of these...oh...sorry...different fantasy!

I had a chance to buy one of those darnnear like the one in the ad at a going under sale years ago and passed on it...might be the dumbest thing I did that year!

I have a Weddington Classic, but not a Custom. I REALLY want a Custom though. Found one for $610 in Houston, but it was too far from me and I didn't have the cash. It almost killed me passing it by, but I didn't have a choice.

If you want to get nice things, do what the rest of the adult world does: save up. It's not difficult, and there's no need to jeapordize your rent money. Just hold off on purchases you don't need until you get enough for a nice axe. If you want it, get it.
