I voted other and I had Gibson in mind because while most Gibson necks aren't exactly what most consider "fast" - I've seen too many examples of complete full on amazing shredding done on Gibsons (even les pauls with 50's profile) and if you consider an explorer - it has a very fast neck that seems like it was built for shredding. Or an SG with the 60's style slim neck? Look at zakk wylde, Jeff hanneman on the first 2 Slayer albums, or watch Al Pitrelli shred with the best on Megadeth's "Rude Awakening" live DVD.
