My grandfather, when he used to play professionally, had an original 1955 Gretsch White Falcon. He sold it because I hadn't gotten into the guitar until a little later. I've been wanting one ever since. Such a classy, amazing instrument. It's a cut above the rest for sentimental reasons. I like my Les Paul and I like Strats, but the White Falcon is the best hollowbody around IMHO (atleast the vintage one). Countless artists are seen with them. I actually have a RHCP poster with John Frusciante rocking out with one.

Les Paul for that classic distorsion

I'll go with the big three: Fender Strat or Tele and Les Paul. Love my Hamer Monoco too...but it's not a classic. Yet! Lew

The Millinium Falcon, shes fast but the X-wing fighter now thats a ship. Whoops! :smack:

Les Paul for tone and playability, and I also think they are the most beautiful guitars by far. The SG is a close second. A Strat would be my second choice based on tone alone. My hands are too big (sausage fingers) for those skinny Tele necks.

I had to vote for LP because I didn't see any Jackson / Frankenstrat option. Zerb's gonna tell you about it I'm sure.

I love my Jacksons, but LP's got the tone, baby.

LP for me. I love the way they look, sound and play.

But for the record I love all guitars for the way they look. Its like art to me. I love looking at guitars.
