Feels Like Nothing!

So, I recently made a switch from .013-.070 strings and when I try to play fast it feels like I am hitting the air. WTF!?... It's nice, but at the same time it just does not feel right. I love the guitar to death, but it is a Floyd and I am not going to put thick strings on it.

I just wanted to share this, I'll get used to it eventually. I am starting to remember how .010-.046 felt.

I do use a 1.14 mm thick pick, maybe I need 1.5...

..and I just realized that my title sounds like an AD for a condom brand.

This "where did the strings go" feeling is perfectly normal. You should try switching to six string guitar after playing the first half of the set on the bass. McCartney seems to manage this pretty well.
