fender 68 custom reissue Vibrolux reverb

Re: fender 68 custom reissue Vibrolux reverb

Nothing like owning an amp that they should make a reissue out of. I love my old Pro Reverb.

I always wondered why Fender did the 65 Twin Reissue and not the lower wattage 2 6L6 BF Pro Reverb...The PR they did come out with was a different amp.

I love the Pro Reverb too. I think thats my favorite Fender amp. Great platform and easier to tame wattage.

My friend has an original Fender BF Vibrolux Reverb amp and it is absolutely killer for blues and classic rock. He also has (2) SFVR amps as well and (3) SFSR amps. One SFSR amp has been modified with a twin OT and 4 x 6L6's

I have a 66' Fender BFDR amp with a Tone Tubby Alnico 12" hempcone speaker that is classic sounding as hell. If I had to give up all my amps except one, then the 66' Fender BFDR amp would surely be the keeper. I can really see why many classic recordings used Fender Deluxe amplifiers because they're controllable and get what you (want/need) from them at acceptable dB levels. I also have a 93' Fender Vibroverb RI amp w/ (2) Celestion Alnico Gold 10"s, Philips/Sylvania 6L6GC tubes and NOS preamp tubes that is a monster of an amp. As a matter of fact, Gary Moore had a Fender 63' VVRI amp that he used and recorded "Trouble At Home", "I Had A Dream", "Nowhere Fast", and Evenin' with from his "As Close As You Get" CD.
