Today, I got a set of Fender Schaller Locking Tuners (the kind with the 3 long and the 3 short posts) and I was just looking for an upgrade to my Squier's tuners and well... They don't work. Let me explain...
I opened the packaging (Top notch plastic bag, let me assure you- oh, and let's not forget the plain white box that just mounts the tuners), took out the tuners and was pretty excited to put them on. I read an old forum post...

... Started by Grumptruck and got an idea of what to expect and how to install them.
Installed E-A-D no problem, but then, when I get to the G...
THIS!
Now... I expected them to be short, but this? C'mon...
Does anyone know of a fix or if there's a brand that'll fit Squiers?
This is a pic-comparison of the new tuners Vs. the old ones...
(The new ones have two posts on them and shorter heads, the old ones were flat and much longer shafts.)
Tomorrow morning I throw on new strings and finish installing my last Hot Rails and the Bridge tone mod. If I could figure out what to do about the tuners, I might have a pretty bad*** Squier.
Thanks guys.
