ya but the guys are onto something.... those MIM Custom Shop Designed Custom Classic Players strats are worth looking at... They are a bit more then a HWY1 but maybe worth the investment

Actually, Custom Player models are cheaper than Highways' in Europe.

The Highway 1 looks like an impressive axe. I want to try it.

I've played a few at my local shop and they all seem to be...dead.

YMMV, but I'd prefer a regular plain vanilla MIA Strat based on my experience

I think I might need to go custom after all... It's sad because what I want is pretty basic, I just can't find it on any guitar...
