Finished my Tele! (pics)

Re: Finished my Tele! (pics)

Great job. Thats some serious yellow. :32:

BTW - How do you like that Hot Rails pair?

Re: Finished my Tele! (pics)

Very nice - are my eyes deceiving me but did you purposely put a leftie strat neck on there but strung it right handed? If so why or did you just want to try it to see if you could do it. Also did you have trouble fitting the neck into the neck pocket of the body as I understood that there would be gaps?

Re: Finished my Tele! (pics)

Killer! Dig the black and yellow contrast. I can see the grain on the yellow, what kinda paint did you use? Nice job...

Well that is cool, I am a big fan of reverse stocks so right off I dig it. Ought to show that off over at the telemodders.com forum.

Thanks for all the nice coments :)

I'll try and answer all the questions-

The Hot Rails set is Great! I love both neck and bridge positions. I'd say the hotrails in the neck is now my favorite neck pup.

Yes, I did purposely put a lefty strat neck on the guitar. I wanted to put a lefty tele neck on there but i just couldn't find one with a maple fret board. But as for why I did it- i just really love the reverse headstock look. There was no gap problem because it is a 22 freter. so the last fret and half fret hang over the body, so if there was a gap you cant see it.

I used Home Depot spray paint, dunno what type (sorry, i could tell you on monday though, im out of town right now). I first sprayed the body with spray can primer, then add some coats of the yellow and finally applied some coats of spray can clear coat.

thanks again guys

if anybody has anymore questions please fell free to ask and i'll try and answer.

That`s a nice guitar , I like the black bridge and reverse headstock. I was thinking of putting Hotrails in my Tele and I think you made up my mind for me. Hows the neck position under light gain.
