Re: First Build - Telecaster
So I finally got a day when I could be in the school workshop in order to cut the body shape.
We did this with all that we had really, a bandsaw, it came out pretty nicely though and after a while of sanding the shape is pretty much there.
I also received the rosewood in the post, which due to Guernsey Posts handling had split in a few areas, there's enough that isn't split though!
One of the splits on the rosewood:

The body shortly after being cut with the bandsaw:

After a small amount of sanding with the belt sander (this side is the one with a bad joint)

After all this work I got home.. at 6.30, had a cuppa and went down the shed, time for some sanding with the orbital:

I also placed the rosewood veneer under some plywood, with an old combo amp on top to flatten it out:

And after all that sanding, the body started to take shape, unfortunately it's not letting me upload anymore photos, so I am off to work out how to fix this.
Tomorrow I will be glueing the rosewood veneer onto the body so that I can't damage it anymore!
Thanks for following my thread!
