Fitting pickups to the new Les Paul PCB units?

Hi guys, I bought a 2017 Gibson Les Paul standard and it came with the PCB board inside instead of the old school pots and caps I am used to. I’m looking to upgrade the pickups because the burstbucker pro bridge is so thin and shrill. In order to fit SD pickups to the PCB unit what do I need to look for in the SD pickup? Does it need to be a 4 wire pickup? Where do I get the adaptors? Any help is appreciated. I’ve swapped pickups and electronics many times but never dealt with this PCB stuff.

You can buy adapters from ebay and probably reverb. People are selling pigtails with the molex type connectors on one end so you would solder them to the replacement pickups wires and then plug them in. Or, you can buy the molex connector housings and pins and install them directly onto the pickup leads yourself. The pins are meant to be crimped with a special crimp tool. If you choose that route, I hope you have good eyes.

Option B: (*which was my method) rip out the PC board and stock pots and caps. Buy Bourns pots, new caps and go with a 50's style wiring harness. You will love it and never look back.

Yeah, everyone usually goes to Reverb or Ebay for the pigtails. It isn't too hard to solder them in. I do like doing that, as ripping the whole thing out trashes perfectly fine components.
