IIRc a rep came on here a few years ago and asked us to check them out in a very non spammish fashion. Most of us did, and there are some impressive things about the technology.

I feel that they unnecessarily limit their customer base by not offering Floyds or other trems than the Schaller Les Trem, and a few other details, but it was still a pretty cool thing...

Re: Flaxwood guitars=cool

They look pretty darn good... nobody from the forum has tried'em, I assume?

Re: Flaxwood guitars=cool

I have been interested in them per their ads in Premier Guitar --- glad to hear they sound good.

Re: Flaxwood guitars=cool

I remember reading about them a while ago and being quite curious about their tone... glad to hear they do sound good... of course they're not available up here...

Re: Flaxwood guitars=cool

we had one at my shop a few months back...somebody bought it because our price was too low and he flipped immediately on eBay.

it sounded okay and since it was the only guitar with P90s in the shop for a while i played it somewhat frequently. always had a thin plasticy tone that bugged me.

i could see it being usable but for the price they ask i would get a traditionally-built guitar by an expert luthier.

Re: Flaxwood guitars=cool

They are very good guitars. I've played 5 of their products and they all were awesome. Here in Finland Flaxwoods are, obviously, regarded as very fine instruments.

Re: Flaxwood guitars=cool

only clip i've heard of them was a guy playing one through a dumble overdrive special....which of course sounded splendid
