hi
I had several original floyd rose and a floyd rose special
The floyd rose special did not last but it was flexible
And light
We could make superb effects with it and with the bar: it was soft
i could play all the styles : vintage, Satriani, like the wind with a note, Jeff Beck
The floyd rose is more tense with the bar: we can do less Jeff Beck effects
I wonder if removing the floyd rose to put a frx would not be the best thing to do if we can = a slightly more flexible floyd = to have vintage effects to modern
with a soft movement so not like a floyd rose
Too hard to have a wide range of effects with the floyd rose original
The floyd rose special was more flexible so we could modulate the sounds
to have any kind of effect, from the softest and slowest to the hardest and fastest
to resume it means from Jeff Beck to Hank Marvin to Satriani to Hackett
with the floyd rose it's not the same : the vintage style comes too fast with the bar
the tension is another aspect with the springs too
so for me, my lp +floyd rose is not the best : the floyd or springs should be different to be great
so imagine if i had bought a gibson lp custom axcess floyd rose
big big price ! for not the best results about the floyd rose if it 's the same with the same springs for example (vs the studio model)
