Re: Floyd Rose Stone Tone Tremolo Blocks

I just got finished reading through this thread. I've got to be honest, I am absolutely appalled and embarrassed by the responses from many of you, as well as many of you that I consider my friends.

First off, the guy stated that he came here because he did a search for his product, and one of the places that it led him was here. He posted to answer questions. Sure, he somewhat advertised, and "spammed" his product, but how many other members here have done that? Plenty, that's how many. He also wasn't completely aware of said "spamming" rules. There's been a bazillion guys on here do that, so I don't get why yall just centered in and picked on this guy.

Immediately Stonetone was bombarded with pure a$$holeism. I mean, come on. People question and wonder why this forum isn't as great and beautiful as it used to be. Well hell, if you want to know the answer to that then just read how new members are treated.

I have been a member of this forum since it wasn't really even a forum. When it did actually become a forum per se, I was the 2nd person to join it. Yeah, big deal. I have seen so many changes on this place that you wouldn't believe. However, one of the changes I've never been able to stand is just complete dooshbaggery.

This thread has made me almost sick at my stomach by the way this man has been treated. And just because of that, I am going to purchase his product from him, and hopefully shut many of you up. Honestly, I don't know nothing about the damn thing, but if he offers a guaranteed money back guarantee, and FLOYD FREAKIN ROSE PROMOTES AND SELLS THE PRODUCT THEMSELVES, well then surely it's not a piece of crap, and what the hell do I have to lose?

Anyways, some of yall folks need to check yourselves at the door before you come back walkin in here. I tell ya what, just because your life sucks, and you're a pessimist, that don't mean you need to bring that downer crap to this forum.

I always look and try to think for the most positive outlook on things. I suggest some of you try and live your life the same way. It just sucks that immediately yall started talking some of the crap that you did. No wonder half of ya don't get laid!!

Yeah, I'm pi$$ed!!,

Re: Floyd Rose Stone Tone Tremolo Blocks

I downloaded this Sonic Visualiser developed at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary, University of London. I plan on putting this block through more of a "scientific" review than any other piece of gear I have ever reviewed. I am going to be as objective as possible and post all of my findings and notes. Here is a screen shot of the application I downloaded to see if there is a sonic improvement on my B. C. Rich. The guitar will be going direct to the PC, no boxes or amps to add or enhance sustain or volume. I guess we will find out in a week or so if the block works or not.

That's so awesome Bruce, thank you very much for taking your time to evaluate and show so many the proof and clarification as the Floyd Rose press release states. Floyd produced these types of tests for their own R&D to put in check of the raw scientific data I presented and as a result, Floyd Rose is now the exclusive distributor. I have all the tests that cost thousands with scopes and other scientific data that was not intended for the public domain. Many guitarists upon their own volition, produced a video in their own capacity and sent it to me with many thanks. Those videos and reviews on our You-Tube page is all I had to share besides the many testimonies which is why I only posted a few here of the well known artists. There certainly is no need to insult, demean or mock any product or individual that wants to bring light on a new product for those curious besides a product like "GRANITE" that's never been in any discussions about the tone/performance of a guitar. Chris Poland said it best "It doesn't matter why it works, it just does" I Look forward to your evaluation Bruce and thank you again.

Holy cow, drama queen, calm down...

As the first one in, let me say that I was just pokin' a little fun at the guy in the beginning. He was clearly spamming, just as you said, so I was pushing back in jest. However, I have been genuinely interested in the merits of the block since I first saw it a couple years ago and I believe I have made that plenty clear if you read my posts again.

Also, it was the ADMINS that gave Mr. StoneTone the warning about spamming and that was largely because of his activities beyond this thread.

I realize some were instantly calling "BS" right out of the gate, but that certainly wasn't the larger majority and I only took personal issue with the sales pitching when Mr. StoneTone refused to back up his own claims and got aggressive about NOT sharing any info that would help answer common questions.

Mostly, however, I've just been rolling with the underlying humor of this whole oddball thread. Seriously...the "PotaTone" doesn't do anything for you? I thought it was comic gold .

Guess some of us are getting too old to have fun.

Either way, I'm very curious to see what Securb's evaluation reveals. Keep us posted!

Re: Floyd Rose Stone Tone Tremolo Blocks

The truth is in the middle. Surely Robert Di Santo (StoneTone) :
a) over-advertised his product out of scope or context, in a "mechanical"-like almost automated manner which surely was irritating to many and worked against his own product. He wasn't very natural in his participation, it was obvious this was biased and forced
b) he got over-defensive and aggressive in many of his responses, and this has definitely been translated by many as a sign of insecurity and consequently drove ppl away
*but* at the same time, he received an enormous amount of dirty under the belt trolling of the worse kind, and like any phenomenon in nature (yes physics again) those two acted as mutual feedbacks for one another, turning the whole thing ugly.

So, Mr StoneTone, rest of members :
a) you should be more relaxed and informative and handle better criticism, this way the sceptics would lose any ground, and most humorists making fool of your product would look like complete jerks
b) people should give the man some place to breath. Asking "scientific" questions in a market (electric guitar) still using WWII-era technology (analog circuits) where ppl still believe in certain types of "superior" capacitors or on certain materials of "superior" guitar paint/finsh (poly vs nitro, etc), on a product whose prime characteristic (tone) is yet to be fully explained in a commonly accepted manner (see the discussion about tone and wood), is not so honest to ask for all this documentation IMO, companies charging 3K+ for their guitars give away even less "science" than Robert did. Yes I know, in 2016 when most of the internet works on public domain code and where ppl much more clever than the average SD forum luthier have given away their code/ideas/algorithms for free, discussing about the disclosure of tests on a piece of stone, like its a military multi-milion project is downright amusing.

lets just say it went the wrong way, both ways.
