Floyd Rose vs Ibanez Edge: let's share your experience

Re: Floyd Rose vs Ibanez Edge: let's share your experience

My guess is that the Ash HSS is more "rock" voiced. Might be the RG3770FZ is more metal. I'd choose the HSH one. BTW, what does "OR" stands for?

OR = original, I mean that that Edge Zero it's not a cheap version so for example an Edge Zero II....

Edge Zero II is not cheap at all.
The Edge Zero II it's cheaper than the Edge Zero, I don't mean that it's not a good bridge I only say that it's the cheap version. As a matter of fact Ibanez uses the Edge Zero II on the Premium range and the Edge Zero on the Prestige series...

Re: Floyd Rose vs Ibanez Edge: let's share your experience

The plate on the Edge Zero II is not steel. (just like floyd rose II). But hard enough to house the saddle screws. All components are well made, smooth and reliable. In case the plate's threads get stripped, then one can repair the threads (e.g. V-coil/Helicoil/etc) with low cost and it will hold for a lot time.
