This is a classic Schenker pose, and an awesome V, but he always looks like he is trying to hold a turd in.

And also I am wondering how different korina is from mahogany.
So a question for Flying V's owners :
For how many for you it is your favorite guitar or one of your faves ?
Do you like it for the shape or for the sound and feel ?
Anyone hated it ?
And lastly anybody tried SD Black Winters on korina Vs ?
This is a very good thread for me because lately I got very interested in Flying Vs (and prefer the original design with strings through the body)
The only time I played a Flying V (years ago and without strap) I just thought "****, you just cannot play it without a strap." But now I grow fascinated by its design.

My 2 V's........both very traditional in shape.
The 'Korina' looking one is actually made from different woods that just look similar to white Korina (as well as being very light!) It is made to every vintage spec I had tools and materials for.......including tinting the nitro clear using UV.
The other is a scaled down version (both body size and scale length of 24") which is partially neckthrough. "partially", as the neckthrough ebony blank wasn't thick enough to do the full body, so has another piece glued on at the back.

Like this one? Trust me - there is a V in there, and me. Somewhere....
