Alright I'll put the pictures first and then talk about them afterwards because I know everyone just scrolls to the pics:laugh2:

First off I'll explain how I came to acquire 2 guitars at the same time. I've been workin on the pink strat for like 5 months(took my buddy forever to strip the thick poly finish) and I finally put it together and set it up today. The other new one is the junior that I got from MF on friday. I've been saving for some kind of p-90 guitar for a while now and decided to go for it.
And yes I'm a little overwhelmed!
The pink strat started life as an affinity strat( my first guitar) and we soon found out it had an impossibley thick polyurethane finish on it. So thick in fact that it is now actually noticeably thinner(when compared side by side) than a regular strat. Reranch shell pink.
Warmoth SRV reverse headstock neck. gotoh kluson. everything else is callaham parts(cept pickguard/electronics). duncan ssl-1 all around. reverse bridge PU ala hendrix. i wasn't sure how good this guitar would sound when it was done because I was a little paranoid by the squier body. It is solid but I couldn't tell what type of wood. looked like alder or poplar maybe.
I didn't need to be worried cause this guitar sounds sooooo good! I've been playin alot of strats lately and this one is really something! The neck is perfect, and the reverse bridge PU is actually chunkier sounding than a normal strat bridge but still a very traditional strat sound. My mom even said something when she heard me from upstairs and asked me if I put the new one together yet cause it sounded really good.
The junior. This thing also way exceeded my expectations! It is amazingly loud acoustically and this p90 is something else. Easily the best rhythm tone I've heard, and sounds awesome for leads. Its amazing how much you can do with so little. This thing just kicks ass period. Its got me browsing all walks of p90 guitar life. I was thinkin of a refin in TV yellow but i'm not sure any more cause this thing is beautiful, but it is an option.
Oh yeah and both of these guitars are very light, under 8 lbs. Which is good cause my 57 is 9 lbs and can be hard on my broken collar bone shoulder after long periods of time. Needless to say my 57 isn't getting much attention right now!
