Dude!

I saw one of those in the Columbus, OH GC on Friday!

I was like "Wow, a new LP Special with P-90s and neck binding?? YES PLEAZE!"

...and then I remembered that I'm not in the market for a new guitar right now, and I already have an SG Classic which is very similar, and I walked away sad.

They had a brown one and a red one, but the brown one was just drop-dead sexy.

I'm obviously still kind of enamored with it.

Great score, man. Once again, your taste is unquestionably good.

I'm usually not a Les Paul kind of guy... but I wouldn't knock that one out of bed. :smokin:

If my truck hadn't broke down on me last week, I would've had one of those in my hands right now:crying:

I had a '97 LP Special like that one a while back (except it was wine red) and have regretted selling it ever since. Killer guitars with a HUGE sound.

I know MF has a limited edition LP Special, but their's doesn't have any binding, it costs $1300, and it comes in heritage cherry, alpine white, and tv yellow. The GC one is WAY cooler looking, especially that natural finish:naughty:

duuude i want one of those specials so bad. I picked up a white one in a shop back in the day and plugged it into a thunderverb... I still dream about that tone sometimes

TC, you have a knack for finding great scores!!
Pretty crappy that the pups werent screwed in proper.. This is my beef with Gibson.. Id expect imperfections like that on a budget guitar, but not a $1000 axe..

gonna alove the p-90's !! I have a faded double cut I got in 2003 for $500 with gibson gig bag.

I just saw this again and was surprised to realize that my friend Pete's guitar that I was describing in this post was copied after John Lennon's guitar and I had forgotten that when I posted this.

Anyway, I had a friend that had modded a Les Paul Special to be like John Lennon's. It was sweeeeeeeet. I wanted it badly. Someone else eventually bought it.
