Re: Freakin Sweet!!!

Notice B2D hasn't been back to post. I think he's in tone nirvana right now!

yeah I still want to know how/where he got it and what he paid. I've seen one with a floyd and it looks like it has a flatter radius too. Very interesting. The only thing that turned me off to them was the 10" radius.

I just got one too, B2D! Mine's transparent teal with an HSS pickguard. Once I clean the fretboard I'll post pics. Congrats on the new guitar, I know for a fact it plays like a dream.

I gotta see that when you get the pics up!

How many of the "Swappable guards" are you ordering? Congrasts :beerchug:

I dunno... I don't know if this one has the molex connector underneath it but I may get 1 or 2 more swappable setups for it.

Very nice, man. You planning on a pickup swap, or are those good like they are?

From what I have experience with, it looks like a PAF Pro neck, a Blue Velvet middle, and a Tone Zone bridge. They actually sound OK for now so there's no need to change them like OMG RIGHT NOW. They will get changed eventually though.

all white!! i like.

how does it play b2d?

Plays like greased lightnin'! just imagine a C-strat neck with not as much shoulder and a 1 5/8ths nut, and that works perfect for my little paws. :D

Re: Freakin Sweet!!!

very sweet man...congrats. i'm ashamed to say this but i like the damn benji sig from bad charollette of that guitar...if it wasn't his i'd buy it but since it has his name on it and that silly inlay i keep passing on it.

The radius seems to be a 10" just like the other silos but that certainly doesn't inhibit playability. If you want a flatter radius on that axe I would contact Mincer. He's got a Silo with a scalloped fretboard that was done by a very good luthier, andI'm betting that a real good one could sand down the fretboard ot a flatter radius and refret it accordingly.

I got it on eBay and paid just under $900 for it.

Nice! I have a feeling that's the right guitar for you. Play it till it's worn out!

I've always loved the look of a white/maple guitar with a dirty well played looking neck!

Thanks man! I'd love to get a hardtail one in the future. I swear if I had the money I'd collect these like baseball cards!

That neck seems reallly wide for an ernie ball.. very cool guitar though, the versitility should be amazing with that pup configuration

It does look wider bit thats probably due to the slightly larger frets. It's the same width as all the other silos. You're right the tones are wide-ranging and they're all useable in some form or another.

I just realized I've never seen a silhouette with a floyd. How/where did you get it?

If you look every day and have enough patience you CAN find them with Floyds. They don't make them like that anymore but there's enough of them out there that they pop up once in a while. Take this one for example...
