I don't care for it (astheitcally speaking). I don't mind figure streaks in rosewood, it looks cool. But this is just a long straight, almost black line.

Same guy that went through, what, 3 ES's because he didn't like the grains?
Only 1, the brown ES-335. The other was a 333 that had a permanent marker on the top.

look twards the bottom of the pic, notices the distance between the a and d strings is far apart. and the distance between g and b strings is super small.
LOL, I pulled the strings apart so you could see the board better.

I bet it still plays well...right?
Indeed it does, I absolutely
LOVE the fat U shaped neck, and the frets are nice and polished and smooth, plays great. I'm not too impressed with the BB #2 in the bridge though, it's a little whimpy for my tastes, I have some Goodwoods and an RS kit ready to go in it.

Whoever is waiting for a great deal to come along on a Gibson Historic Reissue 57' Les Paul Goldtop, get your credit card up in the bullpen to start warming up.
LOL, nah not yet. I'm going to hot rod it and keep it for a while before getting rid of it. I paid a little more going through a boutique dealer who picked out the most resonant one in the store, and it's 8.8 lbs, so it's light compared to most the 9+ pounders coming out lately, so I have to keep it for a while not to lose my ass.
