Re: Friedman BE-OD pedal inbound...
I've had my Smallbox for a year now, and had possession of a BE100 for several weeks, but yeah... i want the pedal for a "fly rig" and just to make my other amps sound like Friedmans. The Bogner Red and Blue pedals flat-out NAILED the tones of my XTC Classic, when running into my Fenders. So I'm hopefull that the Friedman pedal will be as good. Based on Pete's video, i believe that it will.
Also... going back to Pete's haircut... i have no doubt that he's trying to stay marketable in regards to being a hired gun on big tours for big artists. Many of us wouldn't be hired, even if we had Pete's chops... because we don't look the part. The entertainment business is very shallow. Gotta look good... or at least somewhat current.
Yep it's a great pedal. I've played it and it's everything they say it is. No pedal can take the place of a $3700 tube amp like Dave's. But Pete suggests that by saying it gets close enough that you can get this pedal, and not have to worry anymore about what kind of backline you end up with.
