im not saying hes original or even entertaining. All im suggesting is that for all the people who aspire to sound exactly like EVH, then they should just send this fella an email and ask him what pickups hes using! Cos he seems to have got the formula down pretty well.

Being able to play any of these players style convincingly would be accomplishment enough for a lot of us. So he didn't invent butter, but he does have skill and a wonderful ear for subtlety and nuance.

So. It takes a degree of talent to get as technically as good as him. And it's impressive that he sounds almost exactly like Eddie in that clip. And how do you know that he doesn't have any bad ass stuff of his own that is killer, written with his level of playin. Quit hatin
