Really debated putting this up for sale/trade; however, I just play my solid body Strat and my Charvel so this just sits. This is a project that I did with a local luthier here in Atlanta. Since we worked on this together this is how he asked me to word my listing:
"Selling a custom American Made Semi-Hollow Stratocaster. This was a completely custom order guitar; there is not another one like it. Assembled, finished and set up by Frank Verrilli Guitars ( www.FVcustomguitars.com ) here in Atlanta.
Has a Verilli signature neck with specs of 12" radius, Maple neck with Rosewood board, and jumbo frets and one of his custom treated Wenge wooden pickguards. Body was made in Oregon and is African Mahogany body with a Washington Sitka Spruce Top--all solid real wood and American made.
Black hardware inlcudes Gotoh Tuners, Gotoh Bridge with a solid steel block, black roller string tree, and Petros Guitars wood cross strap pins. Pickups are Seymour Duncan APS-1 Alnico Pro II Staggered Strat Set (according to Seymour Duncan, this Strat set is for those who want to get the distortion sound out of their amp--super clean pickups.)
The body has a hand rubbed oil finish that will only get better in time as the wood ages (especially the Spruce top, its very light right now but will get darker in time as it ages.) The neck has a very light nitro finish with the back of the neck sanded for smoothness (sanded part of the neck is also oil rubbed.)"
The guitar has a very warm rich sound–much darker than a normal Strat. Very clean sounding guitar that takes distortion/overdrive very nicely. I don't know what kinda interest this will garner. Does come with the tweed case and I will include a set of new strings I have available as the ones on it could stand to be replaced soon. Open to cash and/or trade offers. Please let me know if you have any questions about it.
Asking $1,200obo. Please PM for offers. Thanks for looking!
