This is an awesome Hughes and Kettner Tube 20 all-tube 1x12 combo amp - it's in good to very good condition all round, a few nicks in the tolex but that's it!
It's an EL84 driven 20 watt portable 1x12 combo that would make a superb amp for home and studio use, practice or small gigs (or big gigs if mic'd!).
It's a 2 channel amp, the clean channel is nice and warm sounding but up the treble and it can get glassy and crisp too (sounded amazing with my Tele) and the dirty channel is really versatile - loads of gain on tap if necessary and it does a rather ace Alex Lifeson impression. I'd liken the gain to a hot-rodded Marshall tone but at volumes that won't take your face off! Plenty of harmonics and bite but also tight and thick bass which surprised me from a 1x12. Sounds amazing at any volume too.
Speaker is a 12" Celestion 60w Rockdriver which sounds really good, FX loop is series and takes pedals and processors brilliantly and the real spring reverb sounds grand.
This also has Hughes and Kettner's Red Box DI technology for a great recorded signal or for putting the amp through a PA direct, sounds brilliant.
Plenty loud enough for most things - I also stuck it through a 2x12 cab and it sounded absolutely massive with extra volume and punch.
This features a kind of attenuator as well, a power amp control that goes from .01 of a watt up to 20w - awesome little feature.
All in all, a really nice little amp, relatively light, very portable, and loud and rocking as you like for any situation from home practice to a decent sized gig. Will be posted via 24hr courier.
All I'm asking is what I paid, £199 delivered.
