FS: Pedals. Also, Other Things. (UK)

Kam

Shaftologist
So, I've decided to downsize my board a bit, due to an impending amp purchase, a substantial increase in rent and me getting sick of looking at all this stuff. I'm mostly in need of cash at the minute, but I can be tempted by trades (more on that later).

Mostly, I'm just in the mood to experiment with different things at the minute. If none of this stuff sells, I'll be more than happy to keep it. It's all stuff that I've had around for a while and like a lot.

I'll be adding more stuff to this thread as I get around to it, so watch this space.

All prices include shipping in the UK or Ireland. If you're elsewhere, prices will rise to reflect the increase in postage prices.

Thanks for reading. :beerchug:

First up is my T.C. Electronics Dark Matter Distortion. This is a really great sounding, very dynamic distortion pedal, with the sound and build quality that T.C. is known for. Out of all the dirt pedals I've tried, it's easily one of my favourites.

It's in mint condition and will be sent in the original box. I'm looking for £70.

Korg Kaoss Pad Mini

This is a fun and totally bat**** crazy wee machine. I've been meaning to find a way to integrate it into my rig for ages now, but I just can't be bothered at the minute. I'll probably pick up another one someday.

This one's in pretty good condition, though it's missing the battery cover. I don't have the original box, but I'll also include brand new batteries and RDA to 1/4" mono adaptors, so that it can be run with regular guitar cables. I used to use this with my friend's synth and it was awesome. Be warned though; if you're using it with guitar, it cuts your volume almost in half. It can be done, but if you want to use it live, you're better off running it in a loop with a booster or something.

This lad with the funny accent talks about it a bit:

EDIT: Sold on Ebay, pending payment.

ProCo You Dirty Rat

dscf0098vn.jpg

Another one of my favourite dirt pedals. I'm pretty sure it's the exact same circuit as the regular Rats, except with the clipping coming from germanium transisters. This is the one that convinced me that dirt from a pedal wasn't a waste of time. I was blown away the first time I plugged it in. It's a huge, fat, warm sounding tone with plenty of balls. Plus, it's built like a ****ing tank. I think it's the heaviest pedal I own...in more ways than one.

Made in the USA.

Here's the deal with this one: I haven't used this in a few months, because I came to prefer the thinner rattier (for want of a better word) tone of my other Rat. Before I took it off my board, I'm almost certain that I remember it having some issues. The odd time you hit the switch, it wouldn't turn off or it would kill the signal completely. Another stomp of the switch would fix it and it worked perfectly nine times out of ten.

However, I just jammed with it for over an hour, trying to replicate that fault, but it worked perfectly every time and sounded great. If there's something wrong with it then the chances are that it's something super cheap and easy to fix, like a sketchy switch or a dirty pot or whatever.

Basically, this is a great pedal but, in the interests of full disclosure, I just can't 100% guarantee it's reliability. I think that's reflected in my price (especially considering it'll cost a tonne to post this lead brick), so pick up a bargain.

Asking £20.

Vintage!

Rare!

Better than anything made in the last twenty years!

Well, maybe not. It is, however, a ****ing badass pedal. This is the item I had to think hardest about before I put it up here. I think I'll miss this one. It's a lot of fun but, with a Digitech Whammy, a DD-20 and two other delays on my board, it's unfortunately a little redundant.

Three pitch-shifting modes and three delay modes, plus plenty of self-oscillating madness when you crank up the feedback. This one is in perfect working condition and sounds great. Cosmetically, however, it hasn't aged well. It's had velcro added to the base. Its paint is pretty battered and scraped. Two of the knobs are unoriginal and a different colour from the others. One of the knobs is loose and can slip off.

(Insert cliched comments about relicing increasing the price, you're only gonna stand on it anyway lulz and how it's what you'd expect from a pedal this old, you pansy)

Prices on these are all over the place. Given the condition that this is in and that it's an original Japanese version, I'm going to ask £60. Open to offers, though.

Seymour Duncan PATB-1n

PA-TB1.jpg

(stock photo, obviously)

This is a really, really great NECK pickup, but I just don't play the guitar it's in anymore, so it may as well go to someone who'll get more out of it.

I'll get pictures tomorrow, but it's in almost mint condition. It's been fitted in one rarely played guitar and never modded or mag-swapped. Comes in the original box with screws and springs.

Asking £40

Carl Martin Classic Chorus

dscf0107hp.jpg

Out of all the chorus pedals I've played, this is my favourite. Unfortunately, it turns out that I just don't like chorus in general very much.

This is a very versatile pedal, that stays a lot warmer and fatter than most other choruses, which is why I liked it enough to buy it.

This one is in pretty good condition, though it's had velcro added to the bottom and there are quite a few little chips in the paint. I tried to show most of them in the pictures, but it's an awkward shape to get decent photos of. It's in perfect working condition and sounds great. It will be sent in its original (quite battered) box.

Looking for £50.

If you put the Raptor up let me know.

Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

will do, Sir.

I was actually extremely close to putting it up earlier, but I decided to wait until I get my new amp and then have a shoot-out with the Raptor and the Green Rhino, to see which one works best. Once I decide, one of them will be going up for sale. If it's the Raptor, you have dibs.

Re: FS: Pedals. Also, Other Things. (UK)

Very good sir. Whats the amp thats coming?

Still not 100% sure, to be totally honest. Once I raise just a little more money, I'm gonna head to Dublin and make a day of trying out everything I can find (their music shops are much, MUCH better than ours). As it stands, I'm really GASing for a H&K Tubemeister, but we'll see what happens.

Re: FS: Pedals. Also, Other Things. (UK)

Two? Pfft. Even after I sell all of these, I'll still have three on my board. And I sold another two a couple of months ago...

The Rat's a killer pedal and it will definitely give you a flavour of tone that your other pedals can't.

Plus the writing glows in the dark. Can any of your other dirt pedals do that? :p

As long as it's clear that it MIGHT need a little repair or two sometime soon.

Honestly though, I think what you need is a nice PATB for that recent black SG type thing you picked up... :naughty:

Bump for price drops.

I'm listing some of this stuff on Ebay today, so if you want something then let me know and I'll end the auction early.
