Can I just ask, what are the benefits of using one of these for set-ups and intonation over a chromatic tuner (like Boss tu-2 etc)?

I think you get closer with a stobe tuner. I have a Peterson Strobe Stomp and a Flip Strobe and they are pretty awesome. I wont go back to chromatic tuners. Tuners we made for tone deaf people like me. lol

That's a great strobe tuner right there. I had one for a little while and it worked very well and is far more accurate than the TU-2. You can do good setup and intonation work with this piece for sure.
