I don't even use my Hot Mod anymore. I'm just going to let it go. Pics later.

$200 bucks, plus shipping.

I guess I'm stupid on this one, but what exactly does it do? Does it replace a preamp tube? What would it do to a Marshall DSL100?

It won't due much in your DSL. They're made to replace V2 in non-master volume style amps, and some master volume amps like the JCM 800. There's a list of "approved" amps Soldano put out...but its probably not all inclusive.

The hot mod contains some soldano circuitry which adds gain to the V2 position. Do a google seach and you'll get all you need...

A proper bias and some new tubes will take your DSl light years past a hot mod.

I've got one as well...great for what they are...adding gain to an amp that is lacking...like the older marshalls.

Re: FS: Soldano Hot Mod

seems to add an extra triode clipping stage by using an adapter for a odd tri-triode pretube....

would prob make a late 70s JMP or early JCM800 into a more saturated monster!

You guys! Are you just going to sit around and talk about stuff and not buy anything?!

Seriously: you guys don't know ANYONE who would want to pick this up? I really want to sell it.
