the lesson learned here is??? don't do business with someone who just joined the forum. more than likely your gonna get burned:firedevil

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

Paragraphs. Use them.

As far as your whole sob story, you're pretty much playing a game of "my word against his", after using the sorriest excuses, one after the other, the latest more ridiculous than the last. You also portray your blatant lack of ethic as honest mistakes.

You are a very transparent child when it comes to your lack of self-accountability.

You belong selling cars in a sleazy lot. AS IS.

There's something about both parties involved that doesn't seem right.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

it wasnt intended to be paragraph form, i stated that i wasnt sure how to word it, so i wrote what came to my mind. and FWIW i got an A in my college Business Ethics class....i knew i had to message here, because my gut told me to...its not a sob story, its not a oh believe me, jeff knows nothing story......its the best form of apology i can give

oh btw, the delonge was up on craigslist a while back, i didnt re update it like i did the drums and bass cab which both sold already.

I'm not sure what you don't think is right on my part?

Here's the condensed version:

I bought a guitar advertised as barely played with a few scratches that are hard to notice. I got a guitar that needs fretwork has a broken tuning peg, the electronics don't work, has a crack through the paint.

I'll post pictures tonight. The guitar was packaged this way: Guitar in gigbag, gigbag in box with a few plastic garbage bags. The garbage bags were just lying at the bottom of the box. The tuner was broken before he sent it.

Having the guitar in my possession I can see that if you turn the tuner so the key is sideways it helps hide thats it broke. Which is what he did.

I know this is getting old, believe me I'm tired of it already. I just won't put up with being scammed.

He should have been honest, told us of the faults and priced it accordingly.

If he wants me to talk to his parents they need to take the block off their phone. I gave him two choices to do the right thing. He chose not to. Bad move!

Yes, please!!

You belong selling cars in a sleazy lot. AS IS.

Based on what I've read, I can't say this is a bad suggestion.

. and FWIW i got an A in my college Business Ethics class....i knew i had to message here, because my gut told me to

Of course you did, you seem very skilled in regugitating information, which is my theory on how you got that A in ethics. And clearly you never took to heart what you regurgitated

For What It's Worth, a capital comes after a period, and elipses only have three periods. And I've found that thinking with your guts is no better than thinking with your ass when it comes to rebutes and apologies.

I'll post pictures tonight. The guitar was packaged this way: Guitar in gigbag, gigbag in box with a few plastic garbage bags. The garbage bags were just lying at the bottom of the box.

I worked at a music store for awhile when I was 14. I'm not banned from it because (even when I worked there, I claimed this) the owner was patronizing and ripped off customers who knew little or nothing, and give a "10% discount" to those who did (and still does).

Anyway, the point of me sharing the fact that I worked in a music store was this: I had opened boxes of shipped guitars, most came in gigbags and 2 layers of bubble wrap in a cardboard box. The ones that didn't come in gigbags had 4 layers of bubble wrap. 1 gigbag and some garbage bags is no way to ship a guitar, regardless of any courriers standards (your Luthier master/teacher should have told you that). You (Dusklose) are therefore responsible for any damages that occured during shipping. Again, for what it's worth, I've never heard of damage during shipping causing fret wear.

Stratomaster...check your "reason for editing" in post #153.

Sorry, couldn't resist. You are in bad shape man LOL ...this whole thing is taking its toll on you.

On a more serious side, I, for one, am hopeful that you will be able to get some of your money back, or.....ship the guitar back and get a full refund.

Unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath in anticipation that either of the above will happen.

Ok that is pretty funny. I never was real good at sprelling. I get so PO'd at this kid my head wants to explode. My wifes taking some pics I'll post them in a bit.

If you like my sprelling check out the tdpri forum. There's a guy called ole fuzzy,he knows telecasters like no one else. He's got his own language though.

Pics are coming then I'm done with this whole thing. I just want to hammer the last nail in the coffin.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

if i can get pictures from you showing these cracks, dings, and bent tuning peg, i'll believe you and may refund some of the money you sent. I had took the pictures, you could have asked for more and more details, i answered your questions the best i possibly could. i'm sorry things are working out this way, but when i sent the guitar to you there were NO scratches, and NO bent tuning pegs, and that you could call and ask my family about, quite sure my dad liked the guitar as well.

He sent me this email, I don't have the energy to talk to the "little scammer boy" anymore. I'm going through his parents if I have to fly to North Dakota.
I no longer want money some money back. I want it all plus my return shipping.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

i in no way used this place to scam somebody, i have done some great trades on here, i know one was elunostatu(Sp?) and i forgot the other but it was for some pickups.

ps. i havent read the FAQ's or anything lately but i'm sure there is no mention anywhere that spelling and/or punctuation needs to be English Major perfect.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

Heres some pics. The first pic is when the tuner is set the way he had it in his picture.

The second pic is when its turned 190.

The third pic is from the rear obviously.

This is how the guitar arrived. If you match the first pic with his first pic you can see the tuner was like that when he sent it.

OK that didn't work, theres no pictures?
