Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

...wouldnt it be more respectful to make the post legible? :D

the tuning peg was NOT like then when this guitar shipped out! I know that for a fact!

The peg was like that and as soon as i figure out how to post the other two pics I'll prove it. You turned the peg at an angle so it was barely noticable that it was broken. I took a pic at the same angle from the front. Then I turned it 190 and it showed it bent.

I can't wait to hear your explaination of the pic of the frets. You know the ones you had crowned 4 months ago.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

just to go over a few things again:

"up for sale I have a used Tom Delonge Fender Strat, in one of the most sought after colors...surf green. The guitar has been played very little. There are a few scratchs but hard to be seen unless looking for them."

That was your description of the guitar. You tell him he should have asked more questions. Why? You described it as being a near mint guitar.

when you finally responded on page 8 you said:

"I probably worded it wrong in my original posts, when said played little yes that it was, i used it basically for recording purposes. Again, I never seen any cracks. I knew there were a few dings in the body, but they were maybe 1 or 2 small dings, that i had mentiond, now thinking of it the only 2 i can think of are a small one on the front of the body, and one in the headstock(clearly visible in the picture)."

If you knew there were a few dings in the body, why weren't they mentioned in the guitar's description?? The only thing you mentioned was a few scratches that you really had to look for.

Later on in one of your emails you said:

"I had took the pictures, you could have asked for more and more details, i answered your questions the best i possibly could. "

I don't think anybody would have gotten an honest description from you if they asked 1000 questions. You bounce back and forth so much. For you to say if he sends you pictures of the damage you MAY refund some of his money is pretty weak.

Maybe thats the way Tom DeLonge Strats were made. It would explain a lot about TD's playing. :D

(Sorry . . . couldn't resist.)

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

Looky those shiny pickguard screws. Was this thing left out in the rain or something? Yeah its mint alright. ( I know the screws are trivial but its all part of the "played very little", theme.

Stratomaster...Sorry to tease you about your sprelling but I was hoping that it would give you a bit of a laugh and ease some of your tension and elevated blood pressure. It seems as though you were a good sport about it. Actually, I think that "sprelling" sounds more sophisticated.

Now to my reason for posting.

The extreme fret wear...that should have been stated VERY clearly in the description.

Dusklose What is your reason for not being VERY CLEAR and HONEST about the fret wear in your initial description? We all await your answer.

Dave

Hey Dave, I like the sprelling thing. My wife always laughs because I never proof read anything. I type and let it fly. She got a big kick out of you pointing out "sprelling". It did lighten things up, Thanks!

The frets are what sent me over the edge. There isn't one good one on the whole neck.

BTW Dustin was on the whole time I was posting the pics. He disappeared shortly after they were up. With no comment. I think he finally ran out of lies.

I guess a picture is truly worth a thousand words.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

Ok heres the frets:

Did that happen durnig shipping too?

Busted, dusklose. I'd say your name is mud around here. "Played very little"? Hardly. Those frets are trashed. This is an intentional misrepresentation. "Beat-up and not maintained" would have been a much better description.

Buyer deserves his money back.

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

like stratomaster said, dusklose was viewing the thread up until the pics went up....I wonder if that weasel will ever come back here or ever reply to another of stratomaster's refund requests?

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

This is really a shame and although I don't know all the facts of the transaction, the pictures do not appear to support the sellers claims in any way shape or form based on the original description.

This nonsense happens all the time on eBay. Its disheartening its happening here too :(

Clearly not, or he'd have a 1,000 word lie!!!

It's just proof that he is a little sh*t disturber that is bad at what he tries to do.

Maybe he was honest about the played very little. He played very little indoors. he played it PROPERLY very little. Or maybe he played it very little but felt the need to go Kurdt Cobain on the thing when he did play it.

Either way, he has no excuses. Take him to court, get all your money back and mail me the guitar so I can fix it up and keep, err.... send it back to you

Re: FS/T Fender Tom Delonge Strat 500$

Yeeeeaaaaah...

This seems to suck pretty hard all the way around.

Questions for the peanut gallery...

Since the gee'tar in question was packed like crap, what are the chances that the dents on the bottom edge of the guitar & tuner getting snarked happened during shipping???

Maybe the thing got bounced a fair bit & one of the solder connections came loose & that's why the pickup is dead?!

Cardboard can take a fair amount of abuse before it'll show signs of damage...

The pickguard screws could've rusted out if the guitar spent a whole lotta time in a cargo hold... strings & things would be rusted upon arrival too...

As for "lightly played condition" allz I gotz to say is ehhhhhhh...

RrrrrrrrrrrrrrrIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHT!

Thoughts?!
