Full Shred + Invader neck... Thought I'd try something different

I got the TB-10 Full Shred and the SH-8n Invader neck off eBay, both new. I will drop them in my Schecter C-1 Propaganda, which is mahogany with a maple neck.

I thought I'd try something different than your ordinary JB/Distortion + Jazz/'59 combo.
Do you think they will match well? I'm just a little worried that the Invader neck might be a bit overpowering compared to the Full Shred in the bridge. But I guess that's what you got volume controls for :-)

I play a lotta pop punk tunes, 80s pop (U2, the Police) and hair metal.
You don't see many people with Full Shreds these days... I was looking for something not too mid-heavy due to the Schecter's mahogany body.
I hear the Full Shred is somewhere inbetween a Custom and a Distortion in terms of output. Is that true?

Regards
Josh

Full Shred (set) sounds excellent in my Charvel 750XL. I think they were made for this guitar. This is a fixed bridge model.

Cool, that's the series only made from 1988-1989?

They look pretty!

Yes, fantastic guitars. Better maple top than any of my 4 Les Pauls. Mine is in the pictures on that site, the heritage cherry sunburst in the "body thickness" comparison section, and right below it in the "eye candy" sections. You can click on the link to see picture I took of it.

The one issue with this site is there is no picture of the fixed bridge / string thru versions. The bridge pickup is very "far" from the bridge, making the bridge pickup tone much thicker, less bright.

The Full Shred pickup is simply perfect. I originally had a Distortion Mayhem set, but it was just TOO MUCH. Too much output, too much power, mud maybe? etc.

The full shred is powerful and surprisingly thick in this guitar. I have a Super 5 way E switch, and every one of the 6 settings are very useful. I get a 6th setting by a push/pull pot that reverses the phase of the coils in the middle position. The neck full shred is perfect as well.

This guitar doesn't have just one specific voice that it excels at, more of a jack of all trades, Swiss army knife.

I was scared away by the name "Full Shred" and the tonechart rating it 3/8/8,
but this pickup is awesome. I only have the neck model but I'm seriously considering a bridge model soon.
