My SE Tremonti needs both volume pots replaced. I think I'm going to get 4 push/pulls and do some crazy stuff.
I really like the volume/tone bypass. Also wired my S2 incorrectly, and learned I really like out-of-phase. If I can figure out how, I'd like to do those and separate splits.

for four push pulls try these. It's like seymour duncan triple shots how you get 4 sounds out of the bridge and neck. However in the center this has 16 combinations. This is based off of an old Seymour Duncan blog posting called the P-rail bible when I was looking for ideas what to do with P-rails and ended up doing this with stupidly hot humbuckers instead.
so the simple 12 tone version, this is 4 sounds per position. Super easy to grasp. Nothing confusing like the jimmy page wiring controls.

The 24 tone version, not my most insane of wiring but still. I drew these out a while back as to date I've only done this in 2 guitars.

Make sure you've got the cavity depth. Also you may either need metric pots or to ream for the heavier standard diameter shafts.

After years of trying goofy this and that, the mods I really like and use are the PRS coil split with the resistor, and just discovered I really like out of phase.
I put some better pots I had lying around in the Tremonti a few minutes ago, but I still want to incorporate those two mods. I think I’ll do separate splits and phase.

Since we're talking fun with multiple push-pulls, here's my take on JP wiring:
Mods: 50s style tone controls, independent volumes, and the neck pickup splits to the screw coil instead of the slug for hum-canceling middle position with both split.
